NSTEMI Decide is a decision aid for invasive coronary angiography, specifically designed for older adults (age ≥75) hospitalized with acute myocardial infarction. It was developed at NYU Grossman School of Medicine. The NSTEMI Decide app can be downloaded here.
GeriKit – Geriatric Assessment Aid
This application is a tool to help medical professionals facilitate a geriatric examination. The app includes tests for eight indicators to diagnose a patient’s geriatric health – Cognition, Depression, Function, Strength, Fall Risk, Nutrition, Medications, and Advanced Care. The GeriKit can be downloaded for free from the Apple Store here or the Google Play store here.
Silver Score – Readmission and Mortality Calculator
Funded by the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute of the National Institutes of Health (NHLBI/NIH), Silver Score is a calculator tool for health professionals that evaluate the risk of readmission and mortality by varying factors (e.g. TUG, and medical history). The risk calculator can be downloaded for free from the Apple Store here.
Frailty Tool – Available on the Apple App Store
The application, downloadable for free on the Apple App Store, is a toolset created to easily evaluate frailty and 1-year mortality risk among patients. The app is designed for clinicians to easily assess patients, with simple step-by-step guides and an in-app timer to administer physical tests.
ePrognosis – UCSF
Designed by a team at UCSF, ePrognosis is a calculator tool that evaluates indices/prognostic index by varying factors: accuracy, generalizability, bias, usability, and clinical efficacy.
